The gentle check-up and clean

At My Dental Curtin we believe in providing patients with a truly gentle checkup and clean experience.

The word gentle in important to us because we know it is important to you.

We have invested in the very latest German engineered technology, so you benefit by experiencing a gentler exam and a more thorough and gentler clean.

The checkup and clean appointment is a maintenance appointment to keep your oral health in top condition.

We would recommend most adults visit the dentist each 6  or 12 months for a checkup and clean.

The appointment takes about 30 minutes and involves;

• The dentist conducting a comprehensive examination for any cavities or cracks and other anomalies that may present problems for you;

• Taking of photos and Xrays; this helps you see the before and after results, and for the dentist to explain any areas that may require treatment in the future;

• Cleaning and descaling the teeth to remove plaque and tartar build up:

• Polishing the surface of the teeth to give them a lovely sheen;

• Conducting oral cancer screening.

• Identifying and discussing any niggly issues which may need monitoring, if there are any.
